Project Supporters,
We greatly appreciate your ongoing educational support for students in Sierra Leone. Oct 17th is the International Day of Eradication of Poverty, which is sustainable development goal- #1 End Poverty. Education is a proven way to alleviate poverty and bring lasting change.
Poverty entails more than the lack of income and productive resources to ensure sustainable livelihoods. Its manifestations include hunger and malnutrition, limited access to education and other basic services, social discrimination and exclusion, as well as the lack of participation in decision-making.
One out of five children live in extreme poverty, and the negative effects of poverty and deprivation in the early years have ramifications that can last a lifetime.

Providing quality education to the future leaders in Sierra Leone is helping them to rise above poverty, become independent and better decision-makers. It brings lasting empowerment and definite change.
Our recurring donors are making a continuous impact, which provides consistent educational support to students in Sierra Leone. If you are not yet a recurring donor, we warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation.
Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation,
Amy and the Develop Africa team
