Computer Class

Project Supporter,

We greatly appreciate your ongoing support for the future leaders in Sierra Leone. Thanks to you, more youths and young adults are getting the computer training they need for success in today's technology-driven environment. There are currently 79 students attending computer training at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) Computer lab.  There are currently four different groups taking computer classes at DASL Computer Lab.

The first group started an introduction to computer basic and MS word in November 2021  and now they are working on MS Excel, this group has twenty-one (21) students.  The second group is taking MS PowerPoint with twenty-one (21) students also.  The other two groups are taking Access classes in which one of them has recently completed the program and the other one will be completed next month. Classes are set up so that everyone has access to their own computer and are available at varying times and days depending on the group each student is in.

One of the students, Abubakarr, talks about the importance of computer training-

Good morning my global audience, I would like to draw your attention for a few minutes. My name is Abubakarr, former Head boy and Senior prefect of the John Toma Senior Academy, Former president of the John Toma Senior academy lethally and debating Society(L&DS).

I came into this institution that is the Develop Africa Sierra Leone for computer proficiency, that is to say with the help of this institution, I have now been able to catalog the following: How to insert a blank table in Microsoft word. 2. How to create an envelope, how to design an envelope, and with some basic course contents in Microsoft Excel. Before I conclude, this is a clear call on both the past and present students of the old Bo Boys Association, I am calling on you all especially those that want to create computer proficiency in this of our computer world today.

Let's join together and fuse our ideas into one that will necessitate the progress and well-being of our technology world today thank you! God bless.

Our recurring donors are truly making a lasting difference for these future leaders in Sierra Leone. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we warmly welcome your ongoing support to continue to provide children in Sierra Leone with the educational resources they need to be the future leaders of Sierra Leone.
