In Sierra Leone, English Language and Mathematics are core subjects in public exams which are required for kids to be promoted to the next grade. Thanks in part to your support, Seventeen beneficiaries (eleven in primary school; preparing to take the national primary school examination (NPSE) and six in junior secondary school; preparing to take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Kamawornie received study guides for English and Mathematics for their upcoming exams thanks in part to your support.
Students in Sierra Leone are required to take exams to be promoted to the next level in school and are the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), which promotes Class 6 (elementary) students to Junior Secondary School (JSS), the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which promotes Junior Secondary students to Senior Secondary School (SSS), and the West African Senior School Certification Examination (WASSCE) which is the final exam of Senior Secondary School. Once a student passes the WASSCE, they are then able to go to college.
Each of the students was very thankful for the study guides and once they have taken their exams, they will return them for other beneficiaries to use to study for their public exams. Your continued support is greatly appreciated by the future leaders in Sierra Leone.
