We are so thankful for the continued support to help build a nursery school in Kamawornie.
In early 2022, we started construction of a 3-classroom block. The roofing and the building have been completed. You can see photos of the building process in this album.
Generous support has helped continue the construction progress, but we invite you to consider helping complete the construction of the nursery.
Why this nursery is important: These classrooms will serve the nursery-age kids in Kamawornie. When children start school in class one without a good nursery foundation, it is hard for them to catch up with reading, writing, and understanding what is being taught.
At the start of the year, we sent out an appeal talking about what is still needed to complete the nursery school.
The next steps are plastering the classroom walls, finishing the floors and ceiling, fixing doors and windows, painting, constructing a local toilet facility, and a fence around the building.
