2 out of 3 school children in West Africa do not have the needed supplies to support their learning. (Develop Africa informal survey of 5 West African countries).
Without the necessary school supplies, bright young minds lack the quality of education that they need to thrive academically.
Thanks in part to your support, students in Sierra Leone are receiving school supplies and educational support that is aiding them in becoming future leaders in their communities. Recently, 134 students at Services Junior Secondary School in Freetown and Hope Academy for girls York, Sierra Leone each received 6 notebooks, totaling 804 notebooks.
The beneficiaries were very happy to receive the notebooks. One of the students at Services Junior Secondary School stated that she was excited to receive the notebooks and that the notebooks motivated her to put more effort into her studies. Thank you again for your support; every dollar donated makes a difference!
Mark your calendars-From April 3-7 when you give up to $50 to support education, GlobalGiving will match your generosity at 50% for the #LittleByLittle campaign. Go to http://goto.gg/2291 to donate.
