Eighteen Graduate from Computer Classes

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Two of the Eighteen Computer Graduates
Two of the Eighteen Computer Graduates

Thanks in part to your support, more youths and young adults are getting the computer training they need for success in today's technology-driven environment.  On July 21, 2023, the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) team held a graduation ceremony at the DASL Computer lab for eighteen students who completed the Microsoft office computer training.

Each graduate received a certificate of completion for intro to computers and Microsoft Office- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint/Presentation, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Access/Database, and Microsoft Internet Browser.

Being proficient in Microsoft Office can help students stand out to potential employers and give them an edge in job interviews. Additionally, many jobs require the use of these programs, so having a solid understanding of them can make the transition to the workforce smoother. Each of the graduates said that DASL's investment in their education has made a lasting impact and they are forever grateful.

Your support is truly helping youth and young adults in Sierra Leone get their education and empowering them with the necessary skills to become future leaders in their communities. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we warmly welcome your ongoing support for the future leaders of Sierra Leone.

Please share this project with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

Warmest regards,

Amy and the Develop Africa team
