Empowering Mohamed with Computer Training in Sierra Leone

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Mohamed with his Computer Training Certificate
Mohamed with his Computer Training Certificate

A recent computer graduate expressed his gratitude in this video-"My name is Mohamed. I'm here to say thanks to Develop Africa for the scholarship they give us and the transportation they provide for us. Now I've finally completed my MS Course. This is the certificate that I got from Develop Africa. Thank you."

Mohamed's success story is not isolated; each graduate has achieved proficiency in a variety of Microsoft Office applications, thanks to the comprehensive training provided. This includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint/Presentation, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Access/Database, and Microsoft Internet Browser.

Your support has made a significant impact on the computer program graduates empowering them with the essential tools to become future leaders in their communities. The value of computer training extends far beyond the technical skills acquired; it is a catalyst for personal and professional growth.

If you haven't already, we invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation to ensure that more young minds in Sierra Leone are empowered with education including computer training.  Did you know that GlobalGiving will match new recurring donations up to $200 USD at 100%?*

Join us in spreading the word: The clock is ticking—there are just a couple of days left to create an impact in 2023. Extend the invitation to your family and friends, encouraging them to contribute to the education of future leaders in Sierra Leone. This way, they can wrap up the year on a high note, knowing they've made a meaningful difference.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

Warm regards,

Amy and the Develop Africa Team

*Donations up to $200 USD per unique donor per project from donors setting up a new monthly donation will be matched one-time at 100% after four total payments.
