Successful Completion of Kamawornie Nursery School: Let's Celebrate!

It's time to celebrate!

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion and grand opening of the Kamawornie Nursery School on February 9, 2024. This milestone marks the culmination of our dedicated efforts to provide early childhood education to underprivileged children in the Kamawornie village.

Early childhood education is pivotal in shaping a child's academic journey, yet many children in vulnerable communities like Kamawornie lack access to formal educational opportunities at this level. Recognizing this disparity, Develop Africa initiated the construction of a three-classroom nursery school building in February 2022, aiming to address this critical need.

We have achieved this remarkable feat through the collaborative efforts of Develop Africa, the local community, and generous supporters like you. The construction process, documented in the photo album linked below, showcases the dedication and commitment of all involved:

Completing the Kamawornie Nursery School signifies more than just a physical structure; it represents a beacon of hope and opportunity for the children of Kamawornie. With access to quality early childhood education, these young learners are better equipped to succeed academically and break the cycle of poverty.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who contributed to this project's success. Your generosity and support have made a tangible difference in the lives of these children and their community. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter future in Sierra Leone.

Warm regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
