Shining a Light on Education: Empowering Future Leaders Through Solar-Powered Lights

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Musa with his new solar light
Musa with his new solar light

Providing quality education to the future leaders in Sierra Leone is a proven way to alleviate poverty and bring lasting change. Your generous support is helping provide solar lights to students with limited or no electricity. These solar lights offer safe, renewable, and environmentally friendly lighting, eliminating the need for hazardous kerosene lanterns.

Musa, a student training to be an electrician, has expressed immense gratitude for his new solar light. The ability to study at night is allowing him to prepare thoroughly for his practical exams and future career.

His story highlights how something as simple as a solar light can have a profound impact on a student's life and future prospects. The solar light has become an essential tool in Musa's educational journey, helping him keep up with his coursework and instilling a sense of discipline and dedication to his education.

Your support is vital in continuing to provide these educational resources to children in Sierra Leone including enabling students to study at night.
