Develop Africa hosted another impactful Boys Mentoring Session at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) office in Juba, with 25 mentees in attendance. The session focused on Time Management, addressing many boys' challenges in balancing school, chores, and personal activities.

Key Highlights:

  1. Mr. Samuel K., a business leader and mentor, led the session.
  2. He covered the importance of Time Management, practical tips, and how to set personal goals.
  3. Mentees engaged in an interactive discussion, asking thought-provoking questions such as:
  • How do we balance school, work, and chores?
  • What if entertainment is our only way to relax?
  • How do we remove distractions and stay focused?

To reinforce the lessons, mentees participated in a goal-setting exercise, writing down and sharing their aspirations for the year. Mr. Samuel left them powerful quotes:

  • “The poorest person on earth is the one who cannot manage their time.”
  • “We all have the same 24 hours, but how we use them determines our destiny.”

To encourage better time management, each mentee received a watch as a take-home gift. Food, drinks, and transportation support were also provided.
