Thanks in part to your generosity, we’ve successfully shipped more than 46 drums filled with school supplies from the Develop Africa office in Tennessee to our team in Freetown, Sierra Leone in the past year.
These supplies have helped hundreds of students in Freetown, Kamawornie, Bo, and Makeni—spanning elementary to high school. The shipment includes essential learning tools like pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, backpacks, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, crayons, glue, and more.
Behind the Scenes: Sylvester shared a glimpse of the hard work behind the scenes—cleaning dusty barrel covers in 45°F weather!
Armed with gloves, Dawn soap, and determination, he and Joseph scrubbed and prepared the containers that will safely deliver these vital resources.
“Teamwork makes the dream work,” Sylvester shared. “It’s the cold, dirty work you don’t always see—but it’s what keeps everything moving forward.”
Your donation is doing more than filling backpacks—it’s fueling futures.
From shipping and logistics to local distribution, every step is powered by the kindness of donors like YOU! Thank you for being part of this life-changing mission.
Together, we are equipping future leaders with the tools to succeed—one pencil, one notebook, one barrel at a time.
With deep appreciation,
Amy & The Develop Africa Team
