Develop Africa proudly participated in the SLANGO Annual Health Walk, not just as an organization, but as a voice for the importance of health and well-being in the communities we serve. The walk—held from Lumley Babadorie Junction to the World Vision Office on Aberdeen Road—brought together NGOs from across Sierra Leone to promote physical wellness and unity.
For Develop Africa, this wasn’t just a walk—it was a powerful reminder that good health is the foundation for progress. When individuals, families, and communities prioritize their well-being, every other part of life improves—including education. Children learn better. Parents become stronger providers. Communities grow more resilient.
As we marched alongside other organizations, proudly wearing our Develop Africa shirts, we were also raising awareness: health is not a luxury—it’s essential. In the same way we work to ensure access to education, we believe in empowering people to take care of themselves physically and mentally, because a healthy mind and body fuel lifelong learning and opportunity.
By participating in the SLANGO Health Walk, we reinforced our commitment to holistic development. We know that education, opportunity, and health go hand in hand—and we’re walking the talk to inspire the communities we serve to take that message to heart.
Together with supporters like YOU, we’re building healthier, smarter, and more empowered futures. One step at a time. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
