We are happy to share a powerful update from Mgbaikoli Village in Sierra Leone—a community that now shines brighter thanks to new solar power street lights.
In this short video, you'll hear directly from the residents of Mgbaikoli, who are expressing deep gratitude for the installation of street solar lights.
The people of Mgbaikoli were delighted to have the first solar street lights ever installed in their village, which will help bring light at night.
These solar lights are more than just a source of illumination—they represent hope, dignity, and progress. They are helping lift an entire community toward a brighter future, literally and figuratively.
This gift of light is especially meaningful for students, who now have the opportunity to read, study, and complete their homework after sunset. In a country where many families cannot afford indoor lighting, these solar-powered street lights create new possibilities for academic success. Education is the key to unlocking a better future, and thanks to your support, students in Mgbaikoli are better equipped to reach their full potential and become the next generation of leaders in Sierra Leone.
We look forward to sharing more progress as we continue working together to empower and uplift communities across Sierra Leone.
With gratitude,
The Develop Africa Team
