Develop Africa hosted an impactful Boys Mentoring Session at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) office in Juba, bringing together 25 young male mentees for a day focused on personal growth and essential life skills. The session centered on the vital topic of Time Management.
Guest speaker Mr. Samuel K led the session with a dynamic and practical presentation that covered the meaning of time management, why time management is important, tips for managing time wisely, setting personal goals, and the benefits of good time management
The mentees were actively engaged throughout the session, asking thoughtful and relatable questions. Watch the recap video to see this inspiring session in action!
To make the session more interactive, the boys were encouraged to write down their goals for the year and share at least one with the group, putting the lessons into real-life action.
As a lasting reminder of the importance of managing their time, each mentee received a watch—a practical tool and symbol of accountability. Additionally, food, drinks, and transportation support were provided to ensure that every participant could focus fully and comfortably on the experience.
This mentoring session not only equipped the boys with knowledge but also empowered them with tools to take control of their time and their future. This impactful mentoring session was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors like you.
Your continued support empowers young people in Sierra Leone with critical life skills that shape their future. If you haven't already, consider signing up for a recurring donation to sustain these valuable learning opportunities.
With gratitude,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
