The new school year has begun in Sierra Leone — and thanks to your generosity, 22 students in Kamawornie village, including Ibrahim, pictured above, are stepping confidently into their classrooms with school supplies.
Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transformation. Yet, for many families in Sierra Leone, the high cost of school fees and lack of school supplies makes education an ongoing struggle.
The community came together in celebration as parents, local leaders, and government representatives joined to witness the impact of your support, which provided school support to 22 students in Kamawornie. Village elders praised Develop Africa’s continued outreach to rural communities, recognizing how your generosity not only strengthens education but also restores hope to families who often feel forgotten.
One of the beneficiaries, Ibrahim, a senior secondary student dreams of becoming a doctor. With your help, he now has the tools and support he needs to stay focused and keep reaching for his goals.
Your contributions are doing more than funding school fees and supplies—they are opening doors to opportunity, nurturing dreams, and empowering future leaders. Education is changing everything in Kamawornie—it’s breaking the cycle of poverty and lighting the path to a brighter, more sustainable future for entire families.
You can help sustain this impact. By becoming a recurring donor, you’ll ensure ongoing support for students like Ibrahim throughout the school year and beyond.
Together, we’re not just educating children—we’re shaping the future, one student at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Amy & The Develop Africa Team
