We are excited to share that on May 14, 2026, the community of Magbaikoli Village celebrated the official opening of a new Junior Secondary School and the expansion of its Primary School facilities. This milestone represents much more than new classrooms—it represents opportunity, hope, and a brighter future for hundreds of children.
For years, students in Magbaikoli faced significant obstacles in accessing education. Many children were required to travel long distances and cross a dangerous river to attend secondary school. These challenges often led to absenteeism, discouragement, and missed educational opportunities.
Today, because of the support of donors and partners, students can continue their education closer to home in a safer and more supportive learning environment.
The opening ceremony brought together community leaders, parents, teachers, students, education officials, and development partners to celebrate this important achievement. The excitement and gratitude expressed throughout the event reflected the tremendous impact that access to education can have on an entire community.
Together, we are helping students gain access to the education they need to become tomorrow's teachers, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and change-makers.
Thank you for investing in education and helping create opportunities that will benefit generations to come.
With gratitude,
Amy & the Develop Africa Team
