In Medellín, when a teenage mother is given the chance to learn, her story changes forever. At Fundación Juanfe, we believe that education does more than teach — it heals, empowers, and liberates.
During the first half of 2025, 876 teenage mothers began their educational journey with us, rewriting the future of their families and communities. In March, 65 young women graduated as technical professionals in high-demand areas such as Administrative Assistance, Marketing, Software Development, and Human Resources. Each diploma represents a real opportunity for independence and restored dignity.
This path toward autonomy is already bearing fruit. 112 teenage mothers secured formal employment, and for 54 of them, it was their very first job. Today, most earn between one and two minimum wages, moving steadily toward stability that once seemed out of reach.
The young women trained by Juanfe are now carving their place in key sectors such as services (37%), BPO (28%), food (14%), commerce (12%), and healthcare (9%). Their presence not only strengthens the city’s workforce, but also proves that the labor inclusion of vulnerable women is a transformative force for both the economy and society.
Additionally, 284 graduates participated in continuous learning programs, enhancing their technical and personal skills through workshops on résumé building, interview preparation, cybersecurity, digital leadership, and professional development.
At Juanfe, we know that real change happens when a woman sustains her autonomy and becomes a role model for those around her.
None of this would be possible without those who believe in our mission. Thanks to your support, we continue transforming the lives of thousands of teenage mothers who today work, study, and dream of a different future.
Your contribution can make a difference.
Donate today and help us continue transforming the world — one woman at a time.
