Project Report | Dec 28, 2023
CAMHS organized a press club training to help students build interpersonal skills on campus.

By Abigail S. Teah | Media and Communication Officer

A media workshop was conducted for the students on the 23th of December 2023 at the school campus in the Bassa Town community and was intended to train the entire member on the media team.

The press club was organized to help students build interpersonal skills in members as they will interact with a number of people in search of information.

According to the head of the press club Miss Teah, she said this media club is a very important part of modern education. It gives voice to the students and provides them exposure to the media and broadcast segment; it instills and builds confidence and self- esteem in learners. It also gives training on journalism to those involved. It brings students together outside of the classroom to create multimedia productions, from producing films to recording music.

The facilitator Mr. Harmon trained the students for the entire day. The training covers the sources, types, writing, editing, presentation, and importance of news. During the training, Mr. Harmon told the club members about some benefits of the press club.

He said it makes you a good writer; good speaker, well known on campus and makes you loved by many other students. He encouraged the team to make use of this opportunity.

We say thanks to all of our supporters, donors, and friends who are making all of the sacrifices with their resources to support this project. You have worked hard for the money that you donated to us. We appreciate it and are thankful. Words are fleeting, and we want you to know that a simple “thank you” doesn’t do justice to how deeply we appreciate your support.

The VAAFD project is 100% depending on you. Thanks again to our donors and supporters and as much as the financial aspect of this project is very important to us.
