Educate a Girl in Pakistan & Give Her a Future

Jaweria is one of the Educate a Girl scholar who benefitted from the trainings offered by the project “Educate a Girl in Pakistan & Give Her a Future”, which educated 925 deserving girls in Media Studies and gave them a platform for their voices to be heard and to encourage their freedom to say what they wish for and also to help their community.

It was Jaweria’s dream to make her own identity as a journalist so she could be the voice of the voiceless and this training helped her to achieve her dreams. “This training was an amazing experience that showed me the tremendous power of thought and bringing my dreams to fruition”, Jaweria explains. “I learnt that as adults, we cannot blame anyone for our unhappiness. We need to take responsibility for ourselves to be all we can be”.

Today Jaweria is a News anchor at “Channel K21” and she is now a donor herself and donated 2 scholarships to 2 deserving girls in Pakistan. According to Jaweria, this training encouraged her to help others, the way she got help from someone. She says “This training gave me a life changing lesson that I must believe in my dreams with all my heart. As long as I am living with integrity and my goals in no way hurt anyone else, I can live that vision. It encouraged me to focus on my goal and dream with faith and a sense of positive expectancy. And all these things made me achieve my dreams today, so now it’s time to give back and help someone who deserves it.”

There are many more Educate a Girl scholars in Pakistan, like Jaweria, who are now living their dreams and got encouraged to help others after the #EAG training and it’s all because of the wonderful donors, who made this happen.
