By Hannah Lane | Partnerships Director at Redress
Dear valued donors,
Our 2023 cycle has got off to a great start engaging hundreds of emerging designers in circular design theory through our educational activities and receiving applications from 46 regions across the world.
I am pleased to introduce our ten Redress Design Award 2023 Finalists, who this year - post covid restrictions - will have the opportunity to embark on an educational trip to Hong Kong to connect with each other and be personally present at the Grand Final Show held at CENTRESTAGE, a prominent event of Hong Kong Fashion Week. The finalists with gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable industry practices through masterclasses and design challenges that reflect the current issues faced by the fashion industry.
Valuable Educational Resource and New Research Project
As part of our educational activities our Redress Design Award Pathway Course is again open for our summer intake, along with our new "Fibre Choices and Sustainability" module. Enroll in the course here!
We are also currently conducting research investigating the role, influence, and limitations of fashion professionals including fashion designers, product developers, merchandisers, and pattern design technicians producing fashion apparel in China and/or Southeast Asia. Any support you are able to give us in spreading the word to designers is truly appreciated. The survey takes just 15 minutes to complete here. Thank you in advance for supporting the power of designers to change the industry for the better!
Finally, your ongoing support enables us to create more and more meaningful impacts to transition to a circular fashion system via vital education for the future leaders of fashion. Please consider donating to us monthly to help us support the ongoing growing financial challenges of an NGO! You can simply click the ‘donate monthly’ tab on our page here to set this up.
