Dear valued donor,
As we celebrate the 15th year of the Redress Design Award, the world’s leading sustainable fashion design competition, we remain dedicated to tackling fashion’s growing textile waste by empowering the next generation of designers to lead change.
At our 2025 Grand Final in Hong Kong, where Asia’s fashion and business leaders gathered, we proudly crowned two joint First Prize winners: Hugo Dumas from France and Carla Zhang from Mainland China. Their collections together with other finalists' creations showed the world how urgent creativity can inspire real solutions for fashion’s waste crisis.

Redress founder, Dr. Christina Dean concludes, “The crisis is urgent, and so is the potential. It’s time for everyone—designers, educators, brands, consumers—to rise to the challenge. The future depends on it.”
Why Does the Redress Design Award Matter? For 15 years, it has been more than a competition— We equip designers with the skills and opportunities they need to transform the fashion system from the start, where it matters most: at the design stage, which determines 80% of a product’s environmental impact.
Together, we have achieved:
Also, our support to the Redress Alumni Network—now over 330 designers strong, including 185+ in Asia— continues to grow including providing mentorships, collaborations, business introductions and championing these emerging talents as they build sustainable brands, transform design teams within major labels, and inspire change in universities worldwide.
Despite our commitment and passion, the problem is still immense. Today, the fashion industry is just 0.3% circular, consuming over 3.25 billion tonnes of raw materials annually, with less than 1% recycled. Around the world, the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is burned or landfilled every second.
