Our Educating for Wellbeing program continues to expand to reach and enhance the capabilities of educators across the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico with the help of your generous support and that of our friends at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. As our reach expands, so do our efforts to evaluate and measure the impact of our program. Most recently, we have been implementing and studying the acceptability, feasibility and outcomes of our Comprehensive Program for Socio-emotional Wellbeing (PIBSE for its acronym in Spanish).
We are finding that this program is robust and can be scaled. In terms of the work with adults, evidence indicates that it has a high level of acceptability and has demonstrated significant improvements in the key indicators we aim to achieve, which include decreasing emotional exhaustion, depression and anxiety and strengthening self-awareness, prosociality, emotion regulation and psychological well being. However, one area that remains to be addressed is expanding the program’s reach to include more teachers.
We hope that with your continued help, we can continue to expand our reach and support the wellbeing of educators and students across the country. Thank you for your continued support!
