Dental Care Spreads Worldwide thanks to GlobalGiving
Those of us who work diligiently at year's end to man the GlobalGiving Leaderboard and to thank our precious Gift Card donors, have noticed a wonderful trend. Dental Care is spreading worldwide!
Nothing makes Smiles Forever happier than to know that our ground-breaking work with indigenous peoples of Bolivia has caught on. A year ago our model for training dental hygienists and thus making dental care available to hundreds per year/ even thousands at our central clinic, won us the international SunStar award.
Word is getting out how to bring mobile dental units to shelters and orphanages. A key example is in Armenia where these orphans are also challenged with birth defects or other handicaps. Suffering is being stopped. Refuges are being screened for abscesses and acute care needs in Greece. How wonderful!
Once Smiles Forever was the only Latin American charity bringing much-needed dental education and care anywhere in South America. Now grassroots dental health organizations are trying to win permanent status on GlobalGiving. Organizations are trying to build a base from indigenous areas of Mexico and Nicaragua. One dental charity is established in India to serve thousands, especially children.
In the spirit of a brighter and better world for all, let's put in key words dental health in GlobalGiving's search box. Let's try and help them get not only get qualified, but to assist these new groups in achieving a sustaining level. Smiles Forever is a world pioneer both as a model, and now as a key research group for decay prevention. Let's all broaden our vision and bring brighter smiles to our neighbors for that brighter 2018 we all desire.

You'll notice the 3 smiling girls with the pink rodent drinking cup is our lead picture for 2018, since we rolled over to 18 years of service and are working towards treating 40,000 Bolivians.
