Thabang Children’s Project
The Niehaus family started the New Year
of 2022 with Thabang Children’s Project.
They are here to support the present team
and bring in more life-skills activities
Learning to fish is fun
The barbel (catfish) gave a good fight!
Creativity with home made tools and AN innovative volunteer
* Painting a field of dandelions; much creativity can be done with simple household items eg drinking straws
Learning to sew
* A very useful life-skill!
* Now all the older children have their own self-sewn laundry bags!
A potjiekos competition inspires young chefs
* Culinary skills are important for everyone
* The two teams had to make a fire, prepare the ingredients, and cook. Some of the staff were the judges.
* Much fun had by all!
Stretching the bodies
* Learning some gymnastics with local volunteers
* The young ones love the challenge of twisting and turning.
Athletics at home, and at national level
