Khel, a learning and recreational centre has been running since 2015 and has managed to place 60+ students in mainstream education specifically those that have an identity and can take admission in private and public schools in Machar Colony.
Recently all stateless children are unable to take admission in private or public institutions due to lack of identity documents and those already studying were also removed. Khel saw an influx of children looking to take admission. The majority of the children are in the age group of 5-7 and are now part of the nursery and playgroup at Khel.
Imkaan is now looking to open Khel in the evening to cater to the older children who are looking to take admission in grade 4 and up. This is all dependent on the funds raised over the course of the year.
