THE ADULT LEARNING COMPONENT
Through our continuous engagement with the community, we have identified a critical challenge facing children aged 13 and above: many are unable to continue their secondary education due to financial constraints. This situation often leaves them with limited opportunities for future growth and development, trapping them in a cycle of poverty.
In response to this pressing issue, Imkaan has launched an Adult Learning Component specifically designed to bridge this educational gap. As part of this initiative, we will support 20 Adult children who have had to abandon their formal schooling. These children will receive tailored lessons using Jugnu Publication books, which are known for their comprehensive and accessible content. The goal is to prepare these students for the Matriculation examination within one year. This initiative not only aims to help these students pass their exams but also to instill in them a renewed sense of hope and confidence in their ability to achieve their goals.
UPDATE ON THE EDUCATION COMPONENT
We've made some important changes to Khel's education program to better support our students. Imkaan will be coordinating with Literate Pakistan for extensive assessment, updating of curriculum, the examination process and more.
Recently, we held annual exams to check the progress of the registered students at Khel, this will help us in identifying those that continue their education at the center and those who can become part of mainstream education. We are also happy to welcome new students into our program. These updates are part of our ongoing effort to provide the best education possible and help more children succeed.
