In a world that often demands toughness, our children at New Home are choosing a different path—one where gentleness is strength and fearlessness is nurtured through love, safety and opportunity.
Each child who walks through our doors carries a story. Some are marked by loss, others by silence and many by resilience. Here, we don’t just offer shelter—we offer belonging. We believe that healing begins with kindness and growth begins with trust.
This past quarter, the children enjoyed two months of summer vacation filled with enriching activities that nurtured both heart and mind.
Annual Health Check-Up
We began with our Annual Health Check-Up, a vital initiative to monitor each child’s physical well-being and detect any early signs of illness. Beyond diagnostics, it was a moment to reinforce the importance of self-care and health awareness—laying the foundation for lifelong wellness.
Life Skills for Life’s Journey
Our life skills sessions continued to empower children with tools for emotional and social growth. Topics ranged from yoga and meditation to self-confidence, environmental care, and personal hygiene. They also explored deeper themes like understanding personal strengths and weaknesses, and cultivating a positive outlook on life. These sessions are more than lessons—they’re lifelines.
Nature Trip: Learning in the Wild
One of the most joyful highlights was a nature trip, where children, mentors, and staff ventured into the outdoors. Surrounded by greenery and guided by curiosity, they discovered lessons about nature, friendship, and resilience. It was a day of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
A New Academic Year Begins
June brought the excitement of a new academic year. As we reminded our children, “A new academic year isn't just a date on the calendar; it's a fresh canvas. Paint it with effort, colour it with dreams, and frame it with determination.” Their enthusiasm was infectious, their dreams bold.
Essay Writing Competition: Voices Unleashed
To spark creativity and critical thinking, we hosted an essay competition at the home. Junior girls wrote about My Best Friend or My Hobby, while seniors reflected on My Dream Career and A Lesson I Learned from Failure. Their essays revealed imagination, resilience and the power of voice.
Independence Day
Children celebrated Independence Day at Home where colours came alive, imagination and community spirit. It was a celebration of empowerment, self – expression and unity reminding us that creativity has the power to inspire change.
At New Home, every quarter is a chapter in a larger story—one of transformation, tenderness, and triumph. Special Thanks to our Donors for supporting our cause. We are grateful to our mentors, staff who make this journey possible. Together, we continue to nurture dreams, one child at a time.
