Training, awareness raising and support

By Joel Stanier | General Manager

Dear friends and supporters,

We are writing to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission. Your generous donations have made a significant impact on the lives of six young girls who arrived at the Surakshi Heartbeat Centre in April.

These girls' stories were more harrowing than words can describe. Rescued from a sex trafficking ring, they arrived with nothing but the weight of unimaginable trauma. One of the girls was so deeply affected that she could not speak or leave her bed for weeks. They were missing their families terribly but could not contact them due to the fear of being traced by their dangerous perpetrators.

The Surakshi Heartbeat Centre has become a beacon of hope in their lives. This incredible safe and loving space is a testament to the tireless dedication of the selfless individuals who work there around the clock to help rebuild these fragile lives. The transformation that takes place within these walls is nothing short of miraculous.

At the centre, the girls have the opportunity to experience a life they could have only dreamed of. They have never set foot inside a classroom, held a pen, or known the comfort of a real home with solid floors, bathrooms, and toilets. For them, the idea of sitting on a toilet seemed strange; they believed they had to stand on it. Thanks to your support, they now have access to spacious classrooms, creative learning areas, and a beautiful garden where they can therapeutically learn about nutrition while enjoying the simple pleasure of growing their own crops.

In just a few short months, these resilient and brave girls have made remarkable progress. They are now speaking good conversational English and are advancing in literacy and numeracy. The journey of healing and learning has begun, and it is all thanks to your kindness and compassion.

Your donations have helped provide these girls with the opportunity to rebuild their lives, to heal from their traumas, and to reclaim their childhoods. Your support is invaluable, and it is making a profound difference in the lives of these young survivors.

We want to assure you that your contributions are being used effectively, and we are committed to providing these girls with the care, education, and support they need to thrive and build a brighter future.

Once again, thank you for your generosity and compassion. Your support is truly outstanding, and it is changing lives in ways that words cannot fully capture. We look forward to sharing more updates on the girls' progress and the impact of your donations in the future.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Joel
