We have finished an excellent year of the program, with many new additions and an increase in group numbers.
This is a welcome change after the years of covid-19 and the limitations on the programs.
Apart the Leadership Program, which we wrote about in our last report, we are delighted to report that we have added a new pilot of a program where children from one of the local Arabic-speaking primary schools in nearby Beit Safafa, come once a week, on Thursdays to study at the Zoo.
We hope to be able to expand this concept and program to include other schools in the new year.
Another exciting addition is the Zoo scouts program in collaboration with the Israel Scouts Association. We already have two groups operating: one with Arabs and Jews together and one Arabic-speaking group.
We look forward to continuing to expand and develop in the new school year which starts in September.
