Hello Jerusalem Biblical Zoo supporters!
We experienced an extraordinarily hot summer in Jerusalem this year. It was also punctuated by a very challenging dust storm that lasted for a week!
Nevertheless, people from all of Israel's diverse communities visited us to enjoy the beautiful green space, see the fascinating animals and, most importantly, to learn more about wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.
Visitors were able to attend educational plays, workshops - all with an environmental message; as well as a daily "Meet the Keeper" presentation where a different animal keeper shared what working with animals at the zoo entails, the wildlife conservation and animal welfare ethos that underlines everything we do, and more.
This year many visitors also attended our evening and sunset tours - special group activities highlighting different types of animals and their conservation challenges.
Now that the summer is over, we look forward to resuming our regular education schedule - we'll tell you more about that next time!
With gratitude for your continuing support,
The Zoo Team
