Girl At Care Home, Hyderabad
This girl’s life was shattered when 6 years old. She lost both HIV parents at tender age. She was kept with relatives. Her elder sister was not suffering with HIV so relatives could manage with her. But, her ,being the child suffering with HIV had tough time. Relatives started looking for orphanage which can accommodate such children.
She was referred to us and given admission. Her health was on verge of collapse when she got admitted. She was immediately put on ART usage. The food related special care was put on alert. Dietician took extra care to build up her immunity system strongly. The supplementary nutrition kit is base of giving boost to her health care.
The opportunistic infections were addressed with immediate effect. Her physical and mental status has improved within a short duration of admission in care home. She had survived with good note which has encouraged all of us to continue such services covering special [HIV] children in India.
She is put into schooling and finishing this admitted into private college. She has completed Bachelor of Science. Presently, she got seat for “ Bachelor in Education in Hyderabad College “ . Her dream to become a teacher got fulfilled. She is determined to serve the needy by taking teaching profession. This is her first year of degree in education stream. Hopefully ,this makes her best teacher in future.Even, she would like to extend her services to DESIRE Society children as and when need arises.
DESIRE Society has established the way of progression to such children. The helping hands/ support from “ GLOBAL GIVING “is utilized for benefit of children like her at care home level, IDA Bollaram. Hopefully, everyone gets engaged in upbringing of this girl in future too.
