AIL has an office in Pakistan which oversees the work with Afghan refugees. The Learning Center in Peshawar has 204 students (134 female) and classes are continuing in Arabic, literacy and English.
AIL also supports schools that have Afghan children. There are 3 such schools in Pakistan that AIL is supporting in 2015. The total student body is 1,142 (752 female). In April students prepared for final exams which take place in May.
The refugees, still living in Pakistan after leaving Afghanistan because of the war, need help and the young especially need to stay on track with education. AIL started here in Pakistan and will continue to provide what is needed.
Your support for these Afghan refugees is much appreciated. Thank you.
