It is Giving Tuesday! can you help with our education for refugees program?
AIL Pakistan continues with its program of education for Afghan refugees at a Learning Center in Peshawar and 3 supported schools. The Peshawar office has been working hard to help earthquake victims since the October 26 quake which devastated a large area. AIL has a special earthquake relief project on Global Giving.
The Pakistan Learning Center has 185 students (120 female, of these 78 are aged between 10 and 19 years.). The classes offered are Arabic, literacy and English. There are 87 students studying Arabic (47 female), 53 studying literacy (43 female) and 45 studying English (30 female). AIL also supports 3 schools that have Afghan students the total student body is 1,103 (733 female).
