The Afghan Institute of Learning is supporting two schools for children and two Women’s Learning Centers (WLC) for Afghan refugee women and older girls in the Peshawar, Pakistan area. In the first six months of 2010, 969 students (753 girls) have attended the schools and are now on holiday for the summer. The WLCs have had classes in literacy, Arabic, sewing and English for 838 women, older girls and a few boys (10) during the first six months.
For all of you that have supported our project, thank you so much for helping the women and children in our programs to get an education!!!
