There are now two schools for Afghan refugees supported by the Afghan Institute of Learning in Pakistan. During the summer, they were on summer break but resumed their classes in September. Since starting in September they have 899 students.
In addition to the two schools, AIL also supports two women’s learning centers for women and older girls. The centers had 680 students in September; the courses being taught are Arabic, English, Reading, and Sewing.
AIL’s preschool in Peshawar has 15 students.
