Merhaba from Insan school,
The classes ended on the last days on June, we felt a bit of disappointment from children who had to leave Insan center…
But it’s just the beginning of a summer adventure!
Most of them will come back for summer classes for all the summer of July and August. We were expecting for 60 children along these 2 months, we are usually proposing workshops on specific sectors where weaknesses were identified, and we continue althought our games on psycho-social support. During these workshops, we are welcoming 25 new children, living in the area of Sad El Baouchryie. Also, we had the great surprise that 60 of our former and graduated students wanted to attend the summer sessions for a total of 80 children regularly attending our activities.
We mainly focus on soft learnings through games on the morning and children are free to play here or at their homeplace on the afternoon.
Our teachers went in vacations but still animators are replacing them and supporting our beloved students during the summer. Drawing and sculpting lessons will be proposed in August, following our professional teacher Charles’ availability. These classes are open to children and their families if they wish, we’re promoting the social cohesion inside families.
To make a review on the last months, you could find enclosed several pictures of our kids meeting older students from Lebanese schools partnering with Insan.
Insan center went to meet The Protestant School's student based in Beirut. Comfortably seated in the sofa, Insan's children received information and had a good overview on the environment they would joined after graduating to Insan’s center. Evry of them felt comforted and empowered to follow Insan classes to attend a traditional school in the future.
Although, our KinderGarden 3rd grade hosted for one day the girls student of Saint Cœur College from Syoufi. The young students went to Insan center loaded with gifts for the youngest children and plenty of activities to do with them. Our classes also had the opportunity in June to have the annual zoo visit, where our teacher carefully explained to the student animals’ life and world but also where do they really belong.
For next year, Insan’s team have plenty of idea in mind for improve the experience of our student in Insan center :
First of all we would like to hire internal volunteer for the school, he/she will be in charge of giving high standards cooking classes to our children. If one of our donors is interested, please contact us !
Insan is also planning to renovate our school in Sad Al BAouchryie! Our building is spacious enough to host our students but we would like to add new activities gathering families and siblings, to further increase the social cohesion between communities and within the families.
Like always, Insan Association is warmly thanking you for your donations and all Insan team is hoping you will continue to follow us!
