Dear friends of YKIP,
We are grateful that we have the poring support from donors like you so that we could continue the scholarship program despite the unstable condition due to the pandemic. In 2022-2023, we supported 462 students under the KEMBALI Scholarship Program.
We did our scholarship distribution for the first quarter in September and we started preparing for the second quarter distribution this month. In the first quarter of scholarship distribution, YKIP distributed school supplies and allowances to the students in six program areas. The school fees were paid directly to their respective school.
In the next distribution, we distribute the allowance for the next three months. we also awarded the students with outstanding academic and non-academic achievement in the last academic year.
85 students out of 462 under the program are now in 12 grade, which means they will finish their education in May 2023. Just in six months, they will graduate from Senior High School. Before they finished their education, YKIP will bring them together to a workshop in December 2023. This workshop, we call career day is the day when the 12 grader students learn to prepare themselves to face life after school.
They will meet the professionals who will teach them to prepare a good CV, and cover letter, as well as prepare themselves to face a work interview. They will also meet their seniors who work already or who are continuing their studies in higher education.
We cannot wait to welcome the students to the workshop. We will keep you posted on this activity.
Again, we cannot do this alone. It is your generosity that allows YKIP to continue the scholarship programs, and we believe that together we could do more.
See you in the next project report.
All the best,
YKIP team
