The current time is challenging! The world is fighting its toughest battle against the pandemic. India has just seen the devastating effects of the second wave and the loss it has made to the lives of hundreds of people.
During this medical emergency, Seva Mandir team continues to work remotely. We are working closely with health experts and organizations to understand needs and provide responses. Undeterred by the present situation and have learned our lessons from the previous year, Seva Mandir is ensuring an extended hand of support to the families during emergencies and also maintaining a continuous dialogue between teachers and students to keep the momentum of education running. Seva Mandir’s supreme focus is to keep the students in the education net, by continuing the engagement with them and to make some level of teaching accessible to them.
We, hence, have opted for a dynamic revision in the group teaching program by inculcating adaptive strategies like phone call support for students and their parents. Alongside, to rebalance the educational needs, the capacity of the instructors is being enhanced by conducive online training programs.
Prioritizing the protection of the health of children and their families, we are continuously reviewing and re-strategizing our efforts based on the further guidelines issued by the Government.
"Education becomes a tough priority for families here. Children of my center live very far from each other and most of them do not have either smart phone or internet. Their parents are daily wage laborer. Meeting parents and children in smaller groups is the only way I can ensure dropouts are reduced"- Kantilal, one of our teacher.
We greatly appreciate your trust in Seva Mandir and for supporting our project. We hope that our project keeps working towards making this world a better place and this certainly has not been possible without your support.
Thank you so much once again for your generous support.
Warm regards,
Atul Lekhra & the Seva Mandir Team
