As Yeryuzu Cocuklar (Children of the Earth) Association, we support Gazan children in Gaza, Egypt, and Jerusalem in reconnecting with education after nearly three years of disrupted schooling due to ongoing conflict. We provide school kits, learning materials, safe learning spaces, and regular educational activities to help children stay connected to school and their dreams.
Although Palestine's literacy rate stands at about 98%, thousands of children in Gaza have been unable to access regular, safe education for nearly three years due to the destruction caused by the conflict. Destroyed schools, insufficient learning materials, and a lack of safe learning spaces threaten not only children's present but also their futures, increasing the risk of dropping out.
Through our Education Mobilization, we provide school kits and learning materials to Gazan children in Gaza, Egypt, and Jerusalem, establish safe learning spaces, and run regular educational activities. Since 2016, our association has supported children in crisis regions, and we now extend this support to Gazan children on the ground.
Gazan children who regain access to education can continue their academic development and preserve their future opportunities. In the long term, this generation, having received consistent education, will play a vital role in rebuilding and developing their communities, helping reduce the devastating impact of war on education and building a future filled with hope.
