In March, through the Haciendo Lupa project, we held a special gathering with the educators of the Pilarcitos Early Childhood Center (CPI). This was a moment to pause and share the power of literature and poetry in early childhood, exploring their value as tools for care and the construction of sensitive, imaginative worlds.
Through poetic games, shared readings, and a heartfelt conversation among colleagues, we reflected together on the role of language, beauty, and imagination in caregiving contexts. As a result of this collective process, our first zine was born: "Words as Shelter", a collection of excerpts from powerful women authors that invite us to walk through this year with words that embrace and accompany. This material will be distributed in the educational spaces we visit during the first part of the year.
In April, we continue with visits to the 2- and 3-year-old classrooms at CPI Pilarcitos, where we will offer playful, literary-based activities to keep building, together with teachers and children, caring and transformative environments.
