Project Report | May 28, 2020
Educational Series on COVID-19

By Genevieve Napier | Programs Officer

Thank you for your generous donation through the GlobalGiving website to the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) “Education Reduces Serious Health Related Suffering” project.

COVID-19 is confronting the global community with extraordinary challenges and opportunities, transforming our lives as we knew them and overwhelming many healthcare systems.

Due to your support the IAHPC was able to develop a resource website for Palliative Care during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This website contains an Educational Series on COVID-19 and palliative care, featuring webinars and briefing notes by palliative care experts from around the world.  The webinars provide a forum for an active discussion between the attendees and the experts that is available to our members and healthcare providers globally and the Briefing Notes provide information on facts, current situation and recommendations for effective implementation of policies, strategies and therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life of patients and their families.

To date almost 6,000 individuals have accessed the resource website.

Your support has made this project possible.

From the entire IAHPC team, thank you for your generosity.
