Global Palliative Care and COVID-19 Resources

By Genevieve Napier | Programs Officer

Thank you for your generous donation to the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) “Education Reduces Serious Health Related Suffering” project.

As the IAHPC looks forward to 2021, we reflect on our 2020 achievements towards reducing Serious Health Related Suffering through education.

In 2020, the IAHPC hosted fourteen COVID-19 webinars covering topics such as the impact of COVID-19 on palliative care; accessing palliative care during the pandemic; palliative care for older patients in the context of COVID-19; palliative care for person’s with disabilities and in humanitarian crises; and many more.  This series had over 7,300 people throughout the world register.

The subsequent COVID-19 Resource website which housed the webinars as well as the corresponding Briefing Notes were visited by more than 8700 people globally.

We could not have achieved all the above and much more without the generous support from donors such as you.

From the entire IAHPC team, thank you for your generosity.
