WE ALL EQUAL

“My name Njile, a 21 years old young man, I am disabled. It is not easy to live like this because many do not accept me as I am including some members in my family and community. They believe that I can not act or do like a normal person. As a disabled person So I was excluded from a lot of issues.

In 2012, I finished my primary school education but due to the bad perception that my family has to the disabled people, my parents and other family members didn’t believe that I can handle going for further studies. After a long conversation with them, they finally convinced them and they sent me to a secondary school in 2013 – 2016.

I didn’t get good grades in my form four final examinations, so my parents were very happy that finally, I can stay at home and no longer waste their money. In 2017 I decided to look for a sponsor for my education continuations. I thank God I got one, who promises to pay one year and she sent me to Tanzania Public Service College Mtwara Campus (TPSC) for my one-year Secretarial course Certificate level. After I finished my Certificate level in 2018 I continued a Diploma level with the same course and I got help from a lecture who paid one-year fees.

I am so thankful for my leaving God to meet Sports Development Aid and Karimjee Foundation, who together have the project of helping disabled people and decided to pay for my finishing year fee, without you I wouldn’t so sure that I can have my Secretarial Diploma, even though my goal is to be a Human Resource Degree holder. My biggest fear is the lack of other necessary things including, food, shelter, and materials for studying.

My take to the community and parents who have disabled people in their homes is; to make sure they support them because they can do and act as any other human being. They can study, work, play etc. Sports Development Aid and Karimjee Foundation showed the way that other people should follow the steps. May God bless you a lot.” – by Njile.
