We are gload to inform you that the children are back to the school after two years long break of Covid 19 Pandamic. The students are so happy to see the school, old friends, and teachers after long time. The school building is live and fully vibrant. We are happy to share the progress report of the Inclusive School Program
Bright Child - Ganesh
Ganesh is a 12 years young boy lives with her grand mother in small village named, Karan, In Ahmedabad District, Gujarat. His father and mother deserted him when he was one year old. He had deformity in leg. He was left alone at Railway station. He waited for his parents, he became pale and criedlot. A lady street vendor took him to the home and started looked after him.
One day his grand mother saw him while travelling in train. She got down to the station, and met street vendor lady. She explained that her daughter and son in law deserted him, and now shifted to west Bengal now.
His Grand Mother has been so caring in nature, and looked after him very well. Ganesh is admitted as a special child in Pathshala. He has been provided disability specific support such regular physiotherapy, speech therapy, and alos given a wheel chair to him.. Ganesh is now i STD 4th, and very bright student. He is very hard working student. He helps other students who are weak in the study. The Ganesh aspires to become a software engineer.
Inclusive education Program
Inclusive education Program has been progressing well. The team from education department from Govt of Nepal came to visit the inclusive education program. The team had detailed interactions with teachers, students with disabilities, practices and govt official. The understood and learnt various teaching learning materials required for quality education. They would replicate this inclusive ducation model in Nepal.
The school was reopened after the COVID – 19 pendamic. The students were welcomed by the teachers, and special event was organized to welcome the students. The COVID 19 pendamic has severe impact on literacy and necessary skills of students without disability and with disability. The teachers has started extra classes to improve literacy, numeric skills of student The students of std $th, 5th has very difficult time when they were back in school after two years long break. Special measures were taken to improve the level of education specially in science, maths subject. Various events, days, festivals were also celebrated to make students happy and enjoy learning environment.
The inclusive School has planned to start special coaching classes for students who are weak in subjects. The special classes will be conducted before and after school hours to ensure academic improvement of the students.
