Dear Donors and Well-Wishers,

Greetings!

We are delighted to share exciting news with you regarding the progress of the Inclusive Schooling for Children with Disabilities project. We are proud to announce that our school has been selected to be developed as the most inclusive school under the Perkins International India project. The Perkins International India team recently visited the school, interacting with teachers, children (both with and without disabilities), and parents. Based on these interactions, they have developed a roadmap for advancing inclusive education over the next three years.

As part of this initiative, a five-day teacher training program was organized, focusing on creating classroom environments that are more inclusive for students with disabilities. This training had a significant impact on modifying the classroom settings and has helped our teachers understand education from diverse perspectives.

We are also excited to share the inspiring story of Priya, a bright young girl with congenital blindness. Priya is curious, enthusiastic, and always eager to learn. Initially, her parents faced rejection when they approached their local school for her admission. This denial was a heartbreaking setback, and they almost lost hope for her education. However, when they discovered our inclusive school, they were warmly welcomed, which boosted their confidence immensely. Priya, who is now in the 4th grade, excels in her studies and participates actively in school events, alongside her peers, enjoying her school life.

We are deeply grateful to you for your continued support, which has helped 33 children with disabilities and 487 students from underprivileged backgrounds pursue their education. We kindly request your further support to help us enhance our school infrastructure, making it more accessible and inclusive for all students with disabilities.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to this important project.
