EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT TO LEAVE POVERTY

By ANA PALACIO | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

During 2023, one of the main objectives with young people was to strengthen the services offered by the AUTONOMOUS LIFE program, through innovative strategies that lead them to the transformation of their lives.

For this, actions have been carried out in favor of the personal and professional strengthening of each young person, according to their needs, strengths and educational advances, for which it was important to advance alliances with institutions that have contributed significantly to the program.

With the "Into The Light Organization", we are currently working to strengthen the area of job placement, since many young people who belong to the program have not yet managed to have their first job, this organization seeks to train them and provide guidelines for appearing in an interview and other guidelines for the job initiation process.

From the city's family social inclusion secretariat, there is the productive skills strategy that aims to bring together educational offers, bring together care routes for employment, and support in business ideas or productive units through the formulation of business models and alliances with other entities that support ventures in the city.

More than 50 vulnerable young people had opportunities for free university education and training in training and entrepreneurship topics, seeking to enable them to become self-sustainable, to create a business and fulfill their dreams.

YOUR SUPPORT IS A STEP FOR MORE VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE IN MEDELLIN TO ACHIEVE THIS DREAM AND GET OUT OF POVERTY.
