Improving women's access to economic opportunities

By Eanas najih | project manager

Women have different and unequal opportunities to access and use basic rights, and to protect, promote and maintain their rights. In the past years, a pattern of violence against women appeared that was difficult to document due to its cultural and social roots. At the same time, the phenomenon of gender inequality in basic services is still an obstacle to achieving social justice and development, depriving Iraq of an important source of human potential, and violating Iraq's commitment to the Millennium Development Goals and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

Our organization carried out the activity of empowering a group of women in Iraq on sewing and how to market. The number of beneficiaries reached 10 women. With your support, we can help them. Help prevent us.
