Fundación Ayllu – 2025 Annual Activities and Impact Update
Dear Supporters and Partners,
We are pleased to share a summary of the activities and achievements carried out during 2025. Thanks to the support of partners, volunteers, and donors, Fundación Ayllu was able to expand educational opportunities, strengthen family skills, and improve food access for many families in our community. Below is an overview of the main program areas and their impact.
Education Program
Throughout the academic year, Fundación Ayllu organized a variety of educational and recreational activities for children in the community. These activities were designed to promote learning, creativity, and healthy social development.
Children participated in celebrations for important dates such as Children’s Day and Student Day, and quarterly birthday celebrations ensured that every child felt valued and included. Interns and volunteers also conducted educational workshops addressing challenges identified among the children, helping them develop life skills and confidence.
One of the year’s most meaningful collaborations was with a Christian church that partnered with us to distribute 180 Christmas gift boxes to children and families in need. As part of this program, staff participated in training to ensure an effective and organized distribution process.
Following the gift distribution, a discipleship and mentorship program was conducted, through which 100 children completed a learning and character-building program. The pastor from the partner church also visited to provide spiritual encouragement and teaching to the children.
To celebrate the holiday season, Fundación Ayllu hosted a community Christmas gathering, including hot chocolate and recreational activities. Nearly 200 people participated, including many mothers and family members, strengthening the sense of community and joy during the holidays.
Baking and Food Skills Training
Our baking program provided hands-on training for mothers in the community who are interested in developing practical skills that can support their households and create potential income opportunities.
Participants learned to prepare a variety of baked goods including:
Homemade bread
Pumpkin biscuits
Empanadas with different fillings
Rolls
Cakes and pies with various flavors
Traditional Christmas bread (Rosca Navideña)
These sessions helped build confidence and skills among participating mothers while encouraging collaboration and mutual support.
Sewing and Clothing Skills Program
The sewing program continued to empower women through practical vocational skills. Mothers participating in the program learned how to create garments such as:
Shirts
Blouses
Skirts
These activities allow participants to improve their sewing abilities, which can later support small business or household needs.
Beauty and Personal Care Training
Another area of training focused on personal care and beauty services, which are popular skills that can easily lead to small entrepreneurial opportunities.
Participants learned techniques including:
Hair massage and scalp treatments
Nail painting with a variety of decorative designs
Multiple braiding styles
The program attracted strong interest from mothers eager to learn new skills that could support family income in the future.
Food Bank Partnership
Our partnership with the Food Bank continues to be an essential resource for the community. The food products provided through this program support many families facing economic challenges.
In addition to increasing participation from local families, the Food Bank partnership also contributes a modest income stream for the foundation, helping support operational sustainability.
Agronomy and Sustainable Agriculture
Fundación Ayllu continues to promote sustainable agriculture as a way to improve food security and local skills. Our agronomy program, led by a professional agronomist, supports agricultural learning and production initiatives. A detailed technical report from the agronomist accompanies this summary.
Hydroponics Initiative
In collaboration with the Food Bank, Fundación Ayllu operates a hydroponics system and dehydration facility. Through this partnership:
The Food Bank receives 50% of the agricultural production
Fundación Ayllu receives 50% to support its programs
During 2025, the hydroponics system successfully produced:
Two harvests of lettuce, grown through germination and transplanting processes
One harvest of basil, which was later processed through dehydration
This initiative demonstrates the potential for sustainable food production while creating opportunities for learning and community participation.
Looking Ahead
The progress made during 2025 reflects the commitment of our staff, volunteers, and community members. Most importantly, it reflects the generosity of donors and partners who believe in building stronger, more resilient families.
Your support makes it possible for Fundación Ayllu to continue expanding educational opportunities, strengthening household skills, and promoting sustainable development within the community.
Thank you for being part of this work.
With gratitude,
Fundación Ayllu
