Dear Friend,
Thank you for being part of "Eid Adha Together." Because of your compassion — and the generosity of supporters both inside Palestine and around the world — the spirit of Eid al-Adha reached 200 families in Bethlehem's refugee camps who might otherwise have gone without. Together, we turned a season of hardship into one of dignity, sharing, and hope.
What we accomplished together
Through local donations from within our homeland and support from abroad, we were able to distribute fresh meat to 200 families this Eid — a provision that is rare and precious for households living in poverty. We shared what we had according to each family's situation and need: some received one kilo, others two or three, based on their circumstances and the size of their household.
For families who rarely taste meat, for children who look forward to Eid all year, this was far more than food. It was a message that they are seen, that they are remembered, and that even in the hardest of times, people across the world stand with them.
An honest word about the need
We want to be transparent with you. The need this Eid was far greater than we expected — and far greater than our resources could fully meet. So many families came to us, their numbers so large, that we made a difficult but necessary choice: to give most families one kilo each, so that we could reach as many households as possible rather than serve only a few. We stretched every donation as far as it would go, because no family who came to us should be turned away empty-handed.
Why your continued support matters now more than ever
The reality on the ground is growing harder. Prices are rising sharply against the exchange rate, and the cost of meat and basic provisions has become extremely high — especially in the aftermath of war. What once fed several families now feeds far fewer. This means that your support does not just help — it is needed more urgently, and stretched further, than ever before.
As we look toward next Eid, our goal is to do more: to reach more families, and to provide each household with a share that truly meets their need, not just what our limited resources allow. But we cannot do it alone. With your continued generosity — and by giving a little more where you can — you help us keep pace with rising needs and rising costs, and ensure that no family in our community faces Eid with an empty table.
Thank you for sharing the sacrifice, the meal, and the joy of Eid with those who need it most. Your kindness reaches further than you may ever know — and together, we are determined to reach even further next year.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Noor Society for People with Disability
