By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project helping those affected by the El Nino. This phenomenon is recurring and we focus our attention to helping those severely affected. The last 5 months was very difficult with the intense heat wave and lack of rain but we managed to do water impounding and tapping water from upland resources to provide water to low-lying areas. Our model of low-cost gravity-fed water using polythylene pipes is effective, less costly and do not require much energy and labor to operate. This month is the start of the rainy season and we focus our effort to providing support to food production activities by farmers. We are able to provide seeds, small tools and technical support to 120 farmers during this time. Hoping for your continuing help.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
